- Though we are not officially a non-profit corporation,
VividCon is not run for profit. Any funds collected for the con are
put back into the con, and we do not have a lot of overage.
Our refund policy is designed to be as fair as possible to members
who might have to cancel unexpectedly, while making it feasible for
us to make necessary budgetary committments on our schedule.
- The deadline for any refund or rollover requests is July 1.
- We can only give cash refunds if we have a waitlist for memberships.
If you would prefer a refund, please inform us.
For each person we let in off the waitlist, we will give a full refund
to the next person waiting for a refund, in the order that the refund
requests are received.
- If you would like, you can instead request to roll over your
membership to next year's convention. Please be aware that if the
membership rate goes up for next year, we will have to ask you
to pay the difference. Please also make sure that we have a good
contact email address for you which will last through the next
year (or notify us of any change). If we cannot contact you within
a month of opening registration to confirm that you are attending,
you may lose your place. Memberships can only be rolled over for
one year.
- We cannot offer either refunds or rollovers after July 1. At this point,
our budget and cash flow have to be fixed, and even if we have a waitlist,
rollovers and refunds become a significant last-minute hassle to deal with.
- If you think it is likely that you would have to cancel after this
date, and losing the cost of the membership in that case would be a hardship,
please consider holding off on registering instead. You can
register almost up to the date of the con, though of course if we are
sold out, you may not be able to get in.
